TheNet Internet Services AG is committed
to protecting and respecting your privacy.
How Does TheNet Use the Information You Provide?
When registering to use wlan@thenet, you create your own login username
and password, and we ask you for a minimum
of your name, email, and the city and country in which you live. We
would like to know who you are, so that we can provide a better service
to our users. We will not use your mail for bulk mailing, but we may
try to get in touch with you individually to get feedback about wlan@thenet
and to give you important information about changes in service or conditions.
After you have created your own username/password, you can use the same credentials
at any location where wlan@thenet is available, and for any type of wlan@thenet
service. That is, if you buy a HotZone subscription, or change to a monthly
subscription, or even buy another prepaid card, you do not need to register again
or create a new username.
When you register, TheNet also creates an account with the same username/password in
MyMetro. You can log
in here to check your usage, and the amount of credit left on your card.
Will TheNet Disclose Any of Your Personal Information?
TheNet will not disclose any information about individual users,
except to comply with applicable laws or valid legal process, or
to protect the rights or property of TheNet Internet Services AG.
We do not give, rent, lend, or sell individual information
to any third parties.
What Kind of Security Measures Do We Take to Protect Your Information
from Accidental Loss or Disclosure?
TheNet is committed to protecting your personal information. All
information that you provide to us is stored on our secure
servers. Further, the information you provide when registering is
encrypted with SSL technology.
